(New London, NH) Freshman Sahara Brown (Barnsted, NH) netted the lone goal for Rivier as they fell to New England College in the Labor Day Classic held at Colby-Sawyer College.
The loss drops the Raiders to 0-2 to begin the 2012 season.
The combination of juniors Lauren Tampossi (Hollis, NH) and Mariah Payne (Concord, NH) stopped 10 of 14 shots on net.
Rivier will host GNAC opponent Norwich University in their next contest on September 8th. In last year's matchup in Northfield, VT, the Cadets took a 2-0 victory from the Raiders. Game time is scheduled for 3pm up on the turf.
