Gagnon’s Quarterfinals Performance Earns Him GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Sawyer Gagnon helped shut down the fourth seed in the South Division, JWU-Providence, to lead the Raiders to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinal win at Merrill Field on Saturday, April 27.  

This is his fourth GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honor of the 2024 season.  

In the 16-3 win over the Wildcats, Gagnon saw 17 shots, making 14 saves to secure the Rivier victory and advance to the next round. He is now 7-5 this season through 13 starts in between the pipes. 

Gagnon and the No. 1 seed in the North Raiders will host Dean, the second seed in the South Division, in the GNAC Semifinal contest on Wednesday, May 1 with a faceoff set for 7:00 p.m.
