Rivier Women's XC competes in the Runnin' Monks Invitational

(Standish, ME) The Rivier College Women's Cross Country team placed 9th overall in the 2011 Runnin' Monks Invitational held at Saint Joseph's College of Maine.

Sophomore Laura DeChristoforo (Burlington, MA) was the first finisher for the Raiders as she crossed the line at 25:17. She was the 35th finisher out of 64 runners.

The other four Raiders all finished in under 36 minutes. Sophomore Althea Sacco (Colrain, MA) checked in at 26:30 while senior Christine Cyr (Westbrook, ME) crossed at 27:16. Sophomore Luz Fernandez (Manchester, NH) and junior Sarah Fronckwicz (Farmingdale, NY) each finished the race with times of 33:54 and 35:34, respectively.
