Grumblatt Named to NEWBA Weekly Second Team
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Rivier women's basketball senior guard Lyric Grumblatt was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Second Team of the Week following her strong showing through two games against Brandeis and Emmanuel (Mass.)
Despite an 0-2 week of action for Rivier, Grumblatt averaged a double-double with 29.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game through an average of 37.5 minutes. The senior shot 34.7% from the field, shooting 32.0% from three-point range while also connecting on 13-of-15 free throws. She stuffed the stat sheet with 2.5 assists and steals per game, including one block against Brandeis.
Grumblatt and the Raiders return to action in a 5:30 p.m. road matchup at Framingham St. on Thursday, Dec. 7.
