Women's Basketball: Raiders stopped by Emmanuel

Boston, Mass. – The Rivier University Women's Basketball team fell to the Saints of Emmanuel College 85-35 in a Greater Northeast Athletic Conference matchup at the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Raiders fall to 4-8 (0-1 GNAC) on the season while the Saints improve to 9-4 (1-0 GNAC) overall.

The Raiders were led by freshman Arianna Motivala (Nashua, N.H.) with 10 points with two rebounds while classmate Jaden Smith (Nashua, N.H.) also scored 10 points and pulled down three rebounds. Freshman Heather Ries (Mont Vernon, N.H.) finished with five points and grabbed six rebounds on the night.

Senior Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda (Cambridge, Mass.) had the night's only double-double with 16 points on 7-of-16 from the floor and grabbed 13 rebounds. Junior Jamad Fiin (Boston, Mass.) also had 16 points with five rebounds while sophomore Korie Mathis (Duluth, Ga.) scored 14 points and collected four rebounds on the night.

The Raiders return to conference play on Wednesday traveling to Anna Maria for a scheduled tip-off at 7:00 p.m. The Saints will be traveling to Eastern Connecticut State University on Monday for a non-conference matchup scheduled for a tip-off at 7:00 p.m.
