CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW: Men's and Women's Cross Country Prepare for the GNAC Championship on Saturday

STANDISH, Maine – The Rivier men's and women's cross country teams will run in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11:00 a.m. on Saint Joseph's (Me.) Cross Country Trail.

The course was constructed in 1989 and redesigned in 2006. It is five miles throughout the woods of SJC's campus with a section named "Monks Misery" after the most challenging part of the trail.

The Raiders will have four men and three women running in the competition.

Cameron Ingram of Rivier is the top men's runner, as he has placed first out of his teammates throughout all four races of the 2023 season.

Raiders' Sophia Lunati is a strong competitor on the women's side, as she claimed two out of the four top spots within Rivier's lineup throughout the races this fall.

Under second-year head coach, Henry Morales, the Raiders are eager to battle in the GNAC Championship in three days.
