Davis finishes 2nd as Raiders capture Eagle Invitational Championship

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier Men's Cross Country team captured the team championship at the Eagle Invitational hosted by Daniel Webster College at Mines Falls Park in Nashua this afternoon. The Raiders edged former GNAC rival Emerson College 52-54 to earn the top spot.

Senior Alec Davis (Amherst, NH) finished 2nd overall at 29:19 and freshman Matt Jardin (Lakeville, MA) was right behind him at 29:26 to finish 3rd. Rivier had to more runners cross the line back-to-back as junior Joe Fitzgerald (Wilmington, MA) and sophomore Cullen Donovan (Wethersfield, CT) finished 15th and 16th with times of 32:25 and 32:39.

Sophomore Steven Nalband (Litchfield, CT) recorded a 26th place finish with a time of 34:49 while sophomore Nick Renella (Salem, NH) was the last Raider across the finish line at 36:17.
