NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier men's ice hockey first year netminder Mason Meyer made 16 saves as he posted his first collegiate shutout in a 3-0 victory over Framingham St. in a return to home ice at Conway Arena on Tuesday night.
The Raiders improved to 10-11-2 while the Rams dropped to 8-12-1.
After a scoreless first period, Rivier would strike in the opening 1:09 of the second on a 4-on-4 as Tyler Duderstadt buried a feed from Carter Poulin in the slot to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
Rivier would double its lead 3:20 later when Poulin buried a shot from the top of the circles into the top right corner.
Hunter Phillips scored on an odd-man rush with 2:59 remaining in the third period to increase the Raiders' margin of victory.
Rivier outshot Framingham St. 41-16 in the program's tenth victory, improving the program's single-season win record.
Two seniors, Hunter Phillips and Anthony Purdue, will be honored before Saturday night's contest against Anna Maria at 7:10 at Conway Arena.
