Poitras, Walch receive All-State Honors

(Nashua, NH) The New Hampshire NCAA Division III Coaches Association announced on Monday, March 25th their 2012-13 All State Selections.

Leading the list were a pair of Raiders as junior Tom Poitras (Bow, NH) and Nick Walch (Dedham, MA) were named to the 1st team and 2nd team, respectively.

Poitras was selected to the All-State First team after leading the Raiders to a 10-16 overall record and an appearance in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament. Poitras recorded his 1,000th career point on the road at Johnson and Wales University in the 2012-13 season. He also led the Raiders with 16.7 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Walch was named to the All-State 2nd Team after a breakout season for Rivier. The junior recorded 11.5 points per game and was the team leader with a 7.3 rebounds per game average. He played in all 26 games during the 2012-13 season.
