Monks Blow Past Women’s Basketball

STANDISH, ME: GNAC opponent Saint Joseph's College defeated the Rivier women's basketball team this evening.  

THE BASICS:

- Score: SJC 77, Rivier 43

- Records: SJC (14-3, 8-1 GNAC), Rivier (6-11, 2-8 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders put up a consistent 12 points in the first three quarters before being held to just seven points in the fourth. The Monks took the lead right off the jump and never looked back. They hit their largest lead of the night at 39 points with 1:23 seconds remaining in the contest.

- Cassandra Stapelfeld had the game high with 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. Angelica Hurley had 17 points for her squad with nine rebounds.

- Rivier had two score in the double digits. Anna Stenger (Weare, NH) and Jessica Carrier (Manchester, NH). Stenger had the team high with 13 points. Carrier had 10 points and seven rebounds from the points guard position.
