Pilgrims take down Raiders, 3-0

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Men's Soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision this afternoon to visiting New England College in NCAA Men's Soccer action.

The Pilgrims got two first half goals from sophomore Emmanuel Arteaga as the cruised to their fourth win of the season. Junior Rob Lucas netted his third goal of the season as he buried a shot from the top of the eighteen into the top corner.

Senior goaltender Matthew St. Peter (Colchester, NH) made 14 saves on the afternoon for Rivier, which fell to 0-3-1 on the season. NEC junior goaltender Robert Millard was credited with the win in his 67+ minutes of action.

Rivier will return to the pitch on Tuesday afternoon when they travel across town to Daniel Webster College. Game time is set for 4pm. NEC will host Castleton State in their NAC opener on 9/22.
