Men's Lacrosse Game Preview Away Sat.. 12 Noon at Lasell

NASHUA, N.H.

The Rivier University Men's Lacrosse team (2-3, GNAC 2-3) will visit the Lasell University Lasers (7-2, GNAC 5-0) Saturday morning in a Great Northeast Atlantic Conference matchup. The faceoff is set for 12:00 noon on Grellier Field. The Raiders are looking to stop a two game slide, the most recent loss being a 12-6 setback against Norwich just over a week ago. Lasell has won 7 of their last 8 contests.

Players to Watch for the Raiders:

Freshman goalkeeper Sawyer Gagnon (Gorham, ME) will make his second consecutive start in net for the Raiders. His last outing was an impressive 20 save performance against Norwich. In 5 appearances this season, Gagnon has stopped 57.1% of the shots that he has faced.

Freshman attackman Michael Ference (Salem, NH) leads the team this season in both assists (9) and total points (23). Ference has had the hot hand as of late, compiling eleven goals in the three most recent games.

Freshman midfielder Coby Mercier (Boscawen, NH) has put together a solid season so far for the Raiders. Through 5 games, he has compiled 5 goals and 4 assists, placing him 4th in overall points on the team.

This game marks the 14th overall meeting between the teams. The Raiders are still looking to break into the win column against the Lasers.
