Men’s Basketball Falls Short to Norwich

NORTHFIELD, VT: Rivier men's basketball fell to Norwich University this afternoon in GNAC action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 1/28/23

- Score: Norwich 78, Rivier 72

- Records: Norwich (10-9, 4-7 GNAC), Rivier (2-18, 0-12 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Cadets took a ten-point lead into halftime, 44-34. Joe Joe DuBrul helped Norwich to their ten-point lead with 14 first-half points. The Raiders bounced back in the second half, outscoring the Cadets 38-34 behind Nesta Roberts (Manchester, CT), who scored 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds in the half.  

- Dubrul finished with a game-high 23 points for Norwich. Donovan Lewis added on 16 points and seven rebounds.

- The Raiders had four players drop double digits in points. Roberts led the way for Riv with 19 points and 12 rebounds, giving him the double-double. Pharaoh Davis (Plainville, MA) contributed 16 points along with a team-high four assists. Nik Pignone (Stoneham, MA) and Robenson Baguidy (Goffstown, NH) finished with 11 points each in the effort.

-  Shooting Percentage: Rivier 41.4%, Norwich 40.6%
