Graham, Wickens honored by the GNAC

(Boston, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced that Rivier University's Kyle Graham and Amanda Wickens have been selected as the GNAC's Player and Rookie of the Week in their respective sports.

Sophomore Kyle Graham (Londonderry, NH) was selected as the GNAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week after he had 11 points on 2 goals and 9 assists during the Raiders' 2-0 week. Graham had a goal and seven assists, won 8 of the 9 face offs he took and collected 7 groundballs in an 11-10 win over JWU on Wednesday. In a 6-5 win on Saturday over Becker, Graham won 2 of the 3 face offs he took, collecting 7 more groundballs while scoring another goal and handing out two more assists.

Freshman Amanda Wickens (Tyngsboro, Mass.) helped lead the Women's Lacrosse team to a 2-1 week. The 5-1 middie had 7 goals and four assists for a total of 11 points and also picked up 17 groundballs over the three games. Wickens has been a strong and consistent player for the Raider so far this season. She was named the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

This is the second time that both Graham or Wickens have been honored by the GNAC this season.
