Pearsons named GNAC WXC Rookie of the Week

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced that Rivier University freshman Anna Pearsons (Kingston, Mass.) has been selected as the Women's Cross Country Rookie Runner of the Week.

Pearsons was the top finisher for the Raiders at the Keene State Invitational. She posted a time of 20:01 in the 5K race. The first year runner finished 17th overall out of a field of 156 runners.

This is the first time that Pearsons has been named the GNAC Rookie Runner of the Week. She will return the course on October 17th in the Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
