2023 Season Preview: Rivier Women’s Soccer

NASHUA, N.H. The Rivier women's soccer program kicks off their 2023 season at Fitchburg St. on Friday, Sept. 1.

Daniel Milton begins his first season with the team after previously serving as an assistant coach at Franklin Pierce, helping them to a 16-4-3 overall record, going 10-2 in conference play. In the same season, Milton guided the Ravens to the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals.

The Raiders graduated just two student-athletes from last year's squad, Makayla Zulon and Sami Blais. With several returning players, Milton was able to pick up five NCAA Division II transfers and nine first years to help fill his 2023 roster. The transfers include four from Franklin Pierce's national quarterfinal team, along with a large contributer from Southern New Hampshire.

Riv's leading scorer in 2022, junior forward Kaylee Magoon (3G, 1A), is back for her third season. Senior goalkeeper Julia Cafferty also returns to the Raiders after posting a .708 save percentage last season.

The Raiders will play a total of 15 GNAC games this season, with their home opener set for Sept. 12 against Norwich.
