Arigo Selected to NEWISA All-New England Third Team

NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier women's soccer graduate defender Jillian Arigo was named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England Third Team following a stellar 2023 season.

This is the second postseason award for Arigo who was placed on the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Second Team after helping her team to the conference quarterfinals for the first time since 2015.

Arigo joined the Raiders after a four-year career at Franklin Pierce and added a massive impact to the defensive unit, starting in 19 of 20 games played. Rivier finished the campaign with eight shutouts while allowing just 36 goals. Although the focus was primarily on the back end, Arigo also tallied three assists and two goals, finishing fourth on the squad with eight points.

Arigo is one of five student-athletes from the GNAC recognized on this year's All-New England list.
