Women’s Soccer Shutout by Saints

BOSTON, MA: The Rivier women's soccer team fell this afternoon to Emmanuel college in conference action by a score of 5-0.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/27/2021

- Score: Emmanuel 5, Rivier 0

- Records: Emmanuel (8-8-2, 7-6 GNAC), Rivier (3-13-3, 0-10-3 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Saints scored early and often against the Raiders defense. They put in four goals in the first half and one in the second. All five goals came from different Emmanuel student-athletes.

-  Rory Mahoney, Hannah Sullivan, Bailey Maurer, Megan McMillen, and Kaci O'Grady all scored for the Saints in that order.

- For the Raiders, they had two shots with one on goal. That shot came from Sami Blais (Nashua, NH). Maya Puma (Tyngsborough, MA) was put in to start the second half and saw three shots on goal, saving two.
