Women’s Soccer Shutout by JWU

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's soccer team fell to GNAC opponent Johnson & Wales this afternoon 3-0 on Joanne Merrill Field.

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/2/2021

- Score: JWU 3, Rivier 0

- Records: JWU (8-3-1, 5-0-1 GNAC), Rivier (2-8-1, 0-6-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The two teams went into the half locked at 0-0. The Wildcats came out of the half clicking on all cylinders. It only took seven minutes for JWU to net their first goal of the game. Jenna Dzubak broke the 0-0 tie and gave her team the lead. Jordan Restivo finished off the scoring as she was responsible for the final two scores of the game.

Maya Puma (Tyngsborough, MA) had a great first half in net, being that she was a perfect eight saves on eight shots on goal.

- Women's soccer will be back in action Wednesday against another GNAC opponent in Simmons University. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
