Women's Soccer Stuns Buccaneers on Double Overtime Win

BUZZARDS BAY, MA: The Rivier women's soccer team was victorious this evening against non-conference opponent Mass Maritime in a thrilling double over

- Score: Rivier 1, Maritime 0

- Records: Maritime (1-1), Rivier (1-3)

 HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The two teams were very even throughout the contest. The only difference was freshman Kaylee Magoon (Loudon, NH) and freshman goalkeeper Maya Puma (Tyngsborough, MA). Magoon was able to find the back of the net for the third time this season, including her first collegiate game winner.

-  Puma was a force in net for the Raiders. She was perfect through 105 minutes this evening, saving all seven shots that she faced.  

 INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shots: Rivier 18, Maritime 12.

-  Saves: Maritime 9, Rivier 7.

-  Fouls: Rivier 9, Maritime 14.

 UP NEXT:

- The Rivier women's soccer team will be back in action tomorrow night against Northern Vermont University-Lyndon. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM at Presentation of Mary Academy.
