BURRILLVILLE, RI: The Rivier women's hockey team fell this evening to the Bison of Nichols College.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/1/2022

- Score: Nichols 8, Rivier 1

- Records: Nichols (10-7-1), Rivier (1-11-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Bison got up early and piled on throughout the contest. Their largest output period was the third, where they found the back of the net five times. Lauren Rokala and Alicia Hunks led the team in scoring, with both scoring two goals.

- The Raiders would notch one on the scoreboard at the 9:39 mark in the third period off Ellie Grady's (Kingston, MA) stick.

- Rachel Hinkley (Swedesboro, NJ) made 49 saves in the contest.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shots: Nichols 67, Rivier 9

-  Power Play: Nichols 1 for 3, Rivier did not have one.

-  Rivier had all three penalties in the game for six minutes.

UP NEXT:

- Rivier women's hockey will be back at Conway Arena next Tuesday against Salem State, with a 7:10 start.
