NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier women's basketball suffered an 84-59 loss to Trinity (Conn.) in the final regular-season non-conference matchup of the season on Monday night at the Muldoon Center.
Rivier fell to 7-15 while the Bantams improved to 16-6 overall.
The Raiders celebrated National Girls & Women in Sports Day, an annual event that promotes and highlights student-athletes, coaches, and administrators striving to provide equitable access to sports for all girls and women. Every Rivier women's sports team was represented while local youth athletes were in attendance.
Lyric Grumblatt, fresh off a stellar week of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play, matched her career-high in points with 44 in the setback. The senior guard shot 15-of-24 (62.5%) from the field while knocking down six of her 10 three-point attempts. She finished one rebound shy of a double-double while notching two steals.
Rivier returns to GNAC play on Wednesday, Feb. 7 in a road matchup at Colby-Sawyer. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. from the Hogan Sports Center.
