Grumblatt Scores 31 in Conference Win Over Chargers

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's basketball team picked up their third straight conference win this evening against Colby-Sawyer.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/9/2022

- Score: Rivier 79, Colby-Sawyer 68

- Records: Rivier (9-11, 5-8 GNAC), Colby-Sawyer (2-15, 2-9 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Chargers again played the Raiders tough in the first half racking up six lead changes. Their six three-pointers kept Rivier off balance through the half. They finished shooting 54.4% from deep. Emily Parent made three of those three-point shots to get a team high nine points. The Difference in the first half for the Raiders was Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH), who dropped 14 points, three assists, three steals, and four rebounds.

- The second half was a close battle until the last few minutes when the Raiders were able to push their lead to 12 points. Grumblatt had another solid half with 17 points.

- Marissa Holt for Colby-Sawyer finished the game with a double-double at the point guard position with 13 rebounds and 12 points.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Grumblatt finished with a game high of 31 points.

Cydney Lessard (Auburn, NH) had the second highest points on the team with 14 points.

-  Steals: Rivier 15, Colby-Sawyer 4.
