Women’s Basketball Downs Chargers

NEW LONDON, NH: The Rivier women's basketball team picked up their fourth GNAC victory this evening by beating Colby-Sawyer in a one-sided contest.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/7/2022

- Score: Rivier 75, Colby-Sawyer 56

- Records: Rivier (8-11, 4-7 GNAC), Colby-Sawyer (2-14, 2-8 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders took only a six-point lead into the half at 29-23. The second half saw Rivier explode for 27 points in the third quarter alone. The Raiders saw their biggest lead of 26 points in the fourth quarter at the 4:42 mark.  

- Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) and Alexa Dufries (Leicester, MA) led the way for the Raiders. Grumblatt dropped 19 points with eight rebounds and five assists. Dufries had 17 points and two rebounds.

- The Chargers Courtney Brewster led her team with 13 points from the bench.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shooting %: Rivier 43.3, Colby-Sawyer 23.9

-  Rebounds: Colby-Sawyer 47, Rivier 40

-  Assists: Rivier 17, Colby-Sawyer 10
