Grumblatt Drops 37 Points in OT Loss to Lasell

NEWTON, MA: The Rivier women's basketball team fell in overtime to Lasell University in conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 1/22/22

- Score: Lasell 85, Rivier 70

- Records: Lasell (6-6, 4-2 GNAC), Rivier (6-8, 2-5 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  After a Laser lead at the half, the Raiders made their way back with a big fourth quarter. They would outscore Lasell 19-13 to tie the game up and send it into overtime.   

- Lasell would bounce back from regulation and put up 22 points in overtime, giving them their biggest lead of the night at 15 points.  

- Meg Carroll would be the top scorer for the Lasers with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Brooke Damboise would finish just behind her with 19 points.

- Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) ended the game with the high of 37 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Cydney Lessard (Auburn, NH) was the second option for the Raiders as she finished with 14 points.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shot %: Lasell 36%, Rivier 30.1%

-  Rebounds Lasell: 71, Rivier 45

-  Assists: Lasell 21, Rivier 11
