NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's basketball was tied with just four seconds left when an off-ball foul led to two free throws for non-conference opponent UMaine Presque Isle. The Owls sank both to get the victory over the Raiders 74-72.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Today's contest was very even between the two teams. Through three quarters, the Raiders had a four-point lead going into the fourth. That lead, however, would disappear with a 31-point fourth from the Owls.
- The Raiders had a chance to force overtime with a huge three pointer made by Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) with just seconds to go to tie it up at 72 all. After a UMPI timeout, the Raiders would commit an off-ball foul on the inbound. Hunter Mercier would get the call for the free throws. She would come up huge for the Owls as she sank both to give them a two-point lead with just 2.8 seconds to go.
- Rivier would get a good look off of their own inbounds play from Grumblatt, but it would come up short and bounce off the front of the rim.
- Mercier would lead her team in scoring from off the bench with 19 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Alexis Ireland would follow her with 16 points and 15 rebounds, completing the double-double.
- The Raiders had three in double digits, with Grumblatt leading all scorers with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. She was followed by Alexa Dufries (Leicester, MA) and Anna Stenger (Weare, NH), who both tallied 17 points each. Dufries completed her own double-double with an additional 11 rebounds.
