Softball Falls Short to Plymouth State
LEESBURG, FL: The Rivier softball team fell short to Plymouth State in non-conference action this afternoon.
THE BASICS:
- Date: 3/8/2022
- Score: Plymouth State 2, Rivier 0
- Records: Plymouth (3-3), Rivier (0-4)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Panthers would go on to score the only two runs in the game. They would plate their first run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Emily Picard.
- Plymouth would tack on the last run of the game in the fourth inning off of a double by Jade Guertain.
- Nicole Verrette (Haverhill, MA) pitched a solid game for the Raiders, going all six innings allowing just five hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Micayla Bourski (Pawtucket, RI) would lead all hitters going 2-for-3 in the ball game.
- Picard was 0-for-1 with the sac fly giving her an RBI.
- Guertin was 1-for-3 in the game with an RBI.

- Rivier softball will be back in action Thursday when they take on Mount Union at 3 PM and Wheaton (Ill.) at 5:15 PM.
