Six Rivier Men’s Volleyball Players Earn GNAC All-Conference Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its men's volleyball All-Conference award winners on Tuesday afternoon which saw Rivier represented on six occasions, highlighted by senior middle blocker Chris Lezon earning a spot on the First Team.

Lezon appeared in 98 sets over 29 matches played for the Raiders in his senior season, amassing 181 kills at a 1.85 kills per set rate while hitting at a .347 clip. Defensively, he added 79 total blocks, 24 of which were solo, for .81 blocks per set. Lezon had a career year from the service line, notching 30 aces. In Saturday's GNAC Championship match against No. 3 Wentworth, Lezon capped off the year with seven kills at a .429 percentage.

In his final season of collegiate competition, graduate outside hitter Sokunbuth Ly made his way onto the Second Team after notching a career-best 2.92 kills per set while hitting .229. The Lowell, Mass. native had 304 kills and 166 digs over 104 sets played.

Senior setter Neil Rea exploded onto the scene in his senior campaign, nearly doubling his assists totals from a season ago with 951, good for 9.06 per set which was good for third in the conference to land on the Third Team. He also made a big defensive push, finishing fifth in the league in digs with 173, resulting in 1.65 digs per set. Blocking-wise, he added 54 total blocks with 14 coming solo for .51 blocks per set.

Joining Rea on the Third Team is graduate libero Peter White. White put together 131 digs at 1.26 per set while adding 52 assists over 104 sets played in 30 total matches. Along with his dig numbers, he passed at a .968 rate in serve receive.

Outside Racine Camara had a tremendous first campaign with Rivier, resulting in a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Camara appeared in 88 sets over 27 matches, totaling an even 100 kills at a .209 clip. He added 88 digs, good for an even 1.00 digs per set rate.

Senior middle blocker Ryan Peace impressed on and off the court for the Raiders in 2024, and was recognized as one of the eight that made up the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Rivier, nine-time GNAC champions, made it to the conference finals on Saturday, finishing with a 19-14 record. The Raiders will graduate seven players in May and look to regroup to return to the GNAC title match next season.
