Men’s Volleyball Moves on to Lasell in GNAC Tournament

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier men's volleyball team took down Emmanuel College in three straight sets this evening in the GNAC Quarterfinals.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 4/5/22

- Score: Rivier 3, Emmanuel 0: Sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-15)

- Records: Rivier (17-9), Emmanuel (13-15)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders outhit the visiting Saints in all three sets. The first was Rivier's most productive, with 17 kills compared to Emmanuel's five.

- The second set was the closest between the two teams, with the Raiders finishing with 12 kills to the Saints 11. The difference in the match was Isaac Borges (New Boston, NH) four aces and two more errors by the visiting team.

- The third set had the Raiders best kill percentage with .500 after tallying 13 kills and just two errors. Emmanuel put 11 attempts down with four errors.

- Rivier's defense helped this be a lopsided contest with 11 blocks to Emmanuel's six. Jack Hromada (Burnt Hills, NY) helped dig out 11 of the Raiders 35. Jyles Amirault dug out nine of his team's 27 digs.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

David Smith (Clinton, OH) led all with 13 kills and six digs.

Pedro Camps (Downey, CA) racked up 38 assists and five digs.

-  Amiraut also had a team high 10 kills along with his nine digs.
