Volleyball Splits Tri-Match with Wentworth and Regis

WESTON, MA: The Rivier men's volleyball team split the day by falling to #10 Wentworth Institute and defeating Regis College to end their regular season conference matchups.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 4/2/22

- Score: Wentworth 3, Rivier 0: Sets (20-25, 18-25, 25-15) G2: Rivier 3, Regis 0. (25-17, 25-18, 25-16)

- Records: Wentworth (25-4, 14-1 GNAC), Rivier (16-9, 13-3 GNAC), Regis (12-15, 7-8 GNAC)

GAME ONE: WENTWORTH

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Jacob LaBouliere had the game high of 19 kills and 6 digs.

-  Connor Adams finished with 40 assists and 6 digs for the Leopards.

David Smith (Clinton, OH) and Chris Lezon (Lincoln, RI) had a team high of 9 kills.

- Pedro Campos (Downey, CA) had 33 assists and 2 digs.

- Wentworth outhit Rivier 46 to 36 in kills and .471 hitting percentage to Rivier's .218.

- Defensively, the Leopards played well against the net, tallying 10 blocks to the Raiders 3.

GAME TWO: REGIS

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- The Raiders would outhit the Pride 39 to 21 in the match with a .333 hitting percentage to Regis' .092.

- Rivier would pick up 9 blocks in the match to Regis' 6. The Raiders would also tally 5 service aces to the Prides 3.

- Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, MA) would finish with a game high 11 kills and 4 digs.

- Campos tallied 28 assists in game two along with a game high 11 digs and 6 kills.

- Kostea Andreenko had the team high for Regis with 5 kills.

- Brendan Carroll put together 16 assists for the Pride.
