Men’s Volleyball Blows Past Dean

FRANKLIN, MA: The Rivier men's volleyball team took down Dean College in three straight sets this evening during conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/16/2022

- Score: Rivier 3, Dean 0. Set scores 25-7, 25-13, 25-15.

- Records: Rivier (2-6, 2-1 GNAC), Dean (0-6, 0-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders put together a solid outing this evening against the Bulldogs, sweeping them in three sets. The closest Dean got this evening was ten points in the third set.

- Rivier was led by Ethan Soltis (Massillon, OH), who had eight kills on just three errors. His hitting percentage tonight was a solid .385. He also contributed more than half of the assists with 12, and to top it off. He added four service aces as well. Neil Rea (Windham, NH) topped the team's assists this evening with 18. Thomas Miller (Clifton Park, NY) had the serve going tonight, finishing with eight aces.

- Dean offense struggled to get doing as Aaron Fonseca had the team high in kills with two. Tyler Martins was the assist leader with four.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Rivier 34, Dean 6

-  Assists: Rivier 32, Dean 6

-  Digs: Rivier 25, Dean 9

- Service Aces: Rivier 19, Dean 3
