Men’s Volleyball Bested by Wentworth

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier men's volleyball team fell to Wentworth Institute in conference play this evening.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/10/2022

- Score: Wentworth 3, Rivier 0: sets (22-25, 23-25, 21-25)

- Records: Wentworth (9-0, 3-0 GNAC), Rivier (1-4, 1-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Although the Leopards took three straight sets, they weren't easy wins for them. Although down one of their Top players, the Raiders competed and made each set close. Between the two teams, each statistical category was very close.  

- Wentworth was powered by Hunter Oshman, who had a game high 17 kills with just six errors for a .344 hitting percentage. Connor Adams dished out 27 assists and five digs.

- David Smith (Clinton, OH) topped the Raiders offense and defense with 13 kills, three service aces, and nine digs.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Wentworth 33, Rivier 31

-  Assists: Wentworth 32, Rivier 28

-  Digs: Wentworth 24, Rivier 20

UP NEXT:

- Rivier will be back on the court Saturday against two top 10 teams in #1 Springfield and #6 Stevens. Game one will be against Sevens at 5 pm, with game two against Springfield coming at 7 pm.
