Men’s Volleyball Grooves Past Regis

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier men's volleyball team defeated Regis College this evening in conference action 3-0, with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-13.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/2/22

- Score: Rivier 3, Regis 0

- Records: Rivier (1-1, 1-0 GNAC), Regis (1-3, 0-2 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders put down 12 kills in set one to easily take it over the Pride. Their best set of the night was the second, where they finished 13 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage. Rivier was able to cruise through the third set after Regis compiled seven errors on a -.080 hitting percentage.

Jack Normandin (Clifton Park, NY) finished with a game high 12 kills, swinging 12 of 22 (.409) with just three errors. Pedro Campos (Downey, CA) fed the ball to his hitters very efficiently tonight, racking up 28 assists. Jack Hromada (Burnt Hill, NY) topped both teams on the defensive side as he finished with 11 digs.

- The Pride's Joseph Perez led his team in kills with six on the night. Brendan Lam dished out 18 assists, and Malakai DeHuelbes tallied a team high six digs.

- Rivier men's volleyball will be back on the court Saturday when they travel to MIT for a tri-match against them and Stevens. Action begins at 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
