Men’s Soccer Draws with Albertus Magnus on Senior Day

NASHUA, N.H. - Hayden Bilodeau scored the lone Raider goal as the Rivier men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Albertus Magnus in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Merrill Field.

Before the start of the contest, the Raiders celebrated senior goalkeeper Dominic Cunha for his four years of commitment to the program.

It wasn't until the 38th minute when Raiders' Bilodeau broke open the scoring as he slipped the ball past Albertus' keeper, tallying an unassisted goal.

Just before the end of the half, Falcons' Kelvin Cortez fired through a handful of Riv defenders, recording a goal at 43:34, to knot the score at 1-1.

The Falcons doubled Raiders in shots, 18-9, and accumulated seven corner kicks to Riv's three.

Keeper Sean Seeley made seven saves in net for the Raiders in the outing.

The Raiders will play their final regular-season game at Emmanuel on Tuesday, Oct. 24 with a start time of 7:00 p.m. at Roberto Clemente Field.
