NEWTON, Mass. – The Rivier men's soccer team tied with Lasell in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Taylor Field on Thursday evening.
With just under 10 minutes to go in the second half, midfielder Thomas Lanzillo soared in his first career goal off a free kick, giving the Raiders (1-3-3, 1-2-2 GNAC) a 1-0 lead.
In the last minute of the contest, Lasell's (2-2-2, 2-1-2 GNAC) Cameron McDonough snuck a header in off a corner kick to tie the score at 1-1.
Dominic Cunha saw his third start of the season and made three saves in net this evening.
The Lasers outshot the Raiders 15 to 10, with both teams earning six corner kicks.
The Raiders will face Dean in GNAC play on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 3:00 p.m. on the road at Longley Athletic Complex, looking to get back in the win column.
