Bulldogs Defeat Men’s Soccer

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's soccer lost in conference action to Dean College this afternoon on Joanne Merrill Field. 

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/24/22

- Score: Dean 2, Rivier 1

- Records: Rivier (3-3-1, 0-3-0 GNAC), Dean (4-2-1, 2-1-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Raiders Cody Sicard (Salem, NH) sent a corner kick to the middle of the 18, giving Jason Harlow (Naples, ME) the chance to find the back of the net. Dean would respond shortly after when Melvin Alves broke away from a Riv defender to knot the score up at one. Just before the half, Seamus Doherty would put his team on top with a cross off a free kick. Bryce King received the cross and headed the ball into the net to give the Bulldogs the 2-1 advantage.  

- In the second half the Bulldogs possessed the ball keeping the Raiders from evening the score.

- Dominic Cunha (Peabody, MA) had six saves for the Raiders. Alberto Gonzalez Del Rio had two saves for the Bulldogs, earning the win.
