Men’s Soccer Secures the Win Against the Owls

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's soccer defeats Westfield State University in non-conference action this evening on Joanne Merrill Field. 

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/21/22

- Score: Rivier 3, Westfield 1

- Records: Rivier (3-2-1), Westfield (0-6-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the first half Edwin Zaruma Buri put the Owls on the board first with a rebounded header.

Jason Harlow (Naples, ME) evened the score in the first couple minutes of the second half for the Raiders. 20 minutes later, Raiders Hayden Bilodeau (Windham, ME) had the ball and found Harlow who delivered with his second goal of the night. The Raiders kept the pressure on with Ryan Hadouche (Nashua, NH) dribbling past three defenders to tap the ball into the back of the net in the 86th minute. 

- Noah Horn (Merrick, NY) had five saves tonight, earning the win.  Collin O'Brien had three saves.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Shots: Westfield 17, Rivier 11

- Corner Kicks: Westfield 4, Rivier 1

- Rivier men's soccer will be facing Dean College in conference play this Saturday at 1:30 PM on Joanne Merrill Field.
