Men’s Soccer Bested by Albertus 2-0

NEW HAVEN, CT: The Rivier men's soccer team fell this after afternoon to conference opponent Albertus Magnus in New Haven, CT.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/17/22

- Score: Albertus 2, Rivier 0

- Records: Albertus (4-1-2, 2-0-1 GNAC), Rivier (2-2-1, 0-2 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Falcons scored one goal in each half. Kelvin Cortez opened up the scoring in the 23rd minute to give his team the 1-0 lead.

- Liam O'Brien would tack on the final goal in the second half at the 63-minute mark. Cortez would be credited with the assists giving him one goal and one assist on the day.

- Dominic Cunha (Peabody, MA) suffered the loss after making seven saves in net for the Raiders. Davis Lucero was perfect in net, saving all seven shots he faced.
