Men’s Soccer Defeats the Falcons

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's soccer downs non-conference opponent Fisher College this evening on Joanne Merrill Field.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/14/22

- Score: 2-0

- Records: Rivier 2-1-1, Fisher 0-4-1

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Raiders took the lead late in the first half against the Falcons. Charles Hayes (Wethersfield, CT) was able to play the ball back to Cody Sicard (Salem, NH) whose shot was deflected off of a Falcon defender for the goal.  

- In the second half, Jason Harlow (Naples, ME) snuck past the defenders and the goalie to rocket in the second Raider goal of the night.

- Dominic Cunha (Peabody, MA) had two saves in goal, taking the win. Mario Iglesias is typically a field player but was thrown into goal this evening due to goalies unable to compete. Iglesias had two saves.   

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Shots: Rivier 12, Fisher 7

- Corner Kicks: Fisher 6, Rivier 4  

- Saves: River 2, Fisher 2

- Rivier men's soccer will continue conference action next Saturday against Albertus Magnus at 12:00 PM.
