Men’s Soccer Opens the Season with Win

LYNDONVILLE, VT: Rivier men's soccer traveled to play the University of Northern Vermont-Lyndon this afternoon and came out victorious in non-conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/5/22

- Score: Rivier 4, NVU-Lyndon 0

- Records: Rivier (1-0), NVU-L (0-1-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The first half consisted of three Raiders goals, all of which came within ten minutes. The first came just past the 25-minute mark off the foot of Ryan Hadouche (Nashua, NH). The second goal came at the 31-minute mark on a top-shelf finish from outside the box by Sidney Hartmann (Clermont, FL). The half would end with one more goal at 33:47 in from sophomore Hayden Bilodeau (Windham, ME), who received a cross piece from Jason Harlow (Naples, ME).

- The second half would only see one more score from either team. Rivier would net their fourth goal of the game, coming on a Bilodeau cross to Hartmann for his second goal of the contest.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Saves: NVU-L 12, Rivier 0

-  Corner Kicks: Rivier 14, NVU-L 2

- Rivier men's soccer will be back in action with their home opener next Saturday at 1:00 PM against Johnson & Wales to kick off conference action.
