Men’s Soccer Falls to Blue Jays

WEST HARTFORD, CT: The Rivier men's soccer team fell this afternoon in conference action to the University of Saint Joseph's by a score of 2-0.  

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/16/2021

- Score: USJ 2, Rivier 0

- Records: USJ (9-3-1, 6-3 GNAC), Rivier (3-10, 1-8 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  USJ broke a 0-0 tie in the 33rd minute of the contest to go up 1-0 before the half. Elijah Rowland found the back of the net for the second time this season.

-  The Blue Jays would tack on one more to end all scoring in the game at 71:02 after Charles Mputu beat the Raider keeper.

- Dominic Cunha (Peabody, MA) was in net this afternoon for Rivier. He saw nine shots on net, saving seven.
