Men's Soccer Downed by Monks

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier men's soccer team was defeated in conference action by Saint Joseph's College late this afternoon by a score of 6-0.

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/9/2021

- Score: SJC 6, Rivier 0

- Records: SJC (7-1-2, 6-0 GNAC), Rivier (3-8, 1-6 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Monks got on the board 11:48 into the first half when Colin Grant scored on a penalty kick.

-  This opened things up for St. Joe's as they would go on to score five more unanswered goals, with two in the first half and another three in the second. Gus Ford found the back of the net twice for the Monks.

- Although six goals were scored, Sebastian Lembo (Nutley, NJ) made multiple difficult saves in net to minimize the deficit. He finished the game with five saves.
