CANTON, NY: The Rivier men's hockey team fell this evening to SUNY Canton by a score of 4-1.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/11/2022

- Score: Canton 4, Rivier 1

- Records: Canton (7-11-2), Rivier (5-13-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders took the lead in the first period, 1-0, on a Milan Breczko (Klasterec, CZR) power play goal.

The Kangaroos would strike in the second period to tie it up 1-1 just four minutes in on a Jarrod Croswell score. Canton would go up 2-1, 16 seconds later when Zac Sirota would beat the Rivier tender.   

- The third period would see the Kangaroos add to their lead with two empty-net goals to get the final of 4-1.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Andrew LoRusso (Peabody, MA) saw 56 shots on goal this evening, making 54 saves.

-  Shots: Canton 58, Rivier 24

-  Power Play: Rivier 1 for 3, Canton 0 for 1
