Owens Named to All-GNAC Third Team
WINTHROP, Mass. – Rivier men's basketball senior guard Devin Owens was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The Irvine, Calif. native scored 16.9 points per game on 40.4% shooting from the floor through 27 starts while also shooting 33.3% behind the arc. Owens also recorded 4.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game.
Owens was named the GNAC Player of the Week on one occasion following his 34-point performance in which he shot 7-of-12 (58.3%) from deep in an 84-66 conference win over New England Col.
Owens helped Rivier record a 15-12 record, including a 6-8 league ledger and guided the Raiders to their first home playoff win since 2008 and their first quarterfinal appearance in a decade.
