Saint Joseph (Conn.) Downs Men’s Basketball in GNAC Quarterfinals

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Rivier men's basketball team lost to a top-ranked Saint Joseph (Conn.) squad in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinals tonight at the James A. Calhoun Gymnasium.

This game marks the Raiders' final contest of the 2023-24 season, finishing with a 15-12 overall record under the direction of first-year head coach Tom Glynn, the best record since the 2008-09 campaign. This was the first time in ten years that Rivier reached the GNAC Quarterfinals. The Blue Jays move to 22-4 and will host a semifinal matchup against No. 5 Norwich on Thursday.

Both Odarius Cade and Daniel Wondie scored 14 points, good for the most on the Raiders in the setback. Robenson Baguidy added 12 points while Leondre Sanchez scored eight.

Rivier looks to build off of the momentum of the successful campaign and return to the conference postseason in 2024-25.
