Pignone and Gillette Drop 20 in Loss to Monks

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier men's basketball team fell this afternoon to Great Northeast Athletic Conference opponent Saint Joseph's College by a score of 76-66.

THE BASICS:

- Records: SJC (3-9, 2-2 GNAC), Rivier (3-6, 0-3 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The first half differential made all the difference in the game's outcome. The Monks took a 41-30 lead into the half. The Raiders won the second half 36-35 but couldn't chip away at the deficit.

- St. Joe's was paced by Nicholas Curtis, who scored a game high 23 points to go along with six rebounds. Griffin Foley was another top performer for the Monks after scoring 18 points and six rebounds.

- For the Raiders, Nikolas Pignone (Stoneham, MA) and Miles Gillette (Washington, DC) tied for top scorers this afternoon, with both scoring 20 points. Gillette completed another double-double with 14 rebounds.
