Field Hockey Soars by the Blue Jays

NASHUA, NH: Rivier field hockey won against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in conference play on Joanne Merrill Field this afternoon. 

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/22/22

- Score: Rivier 3, USJ 1

- Records: Rivier (7-8, 6-4 GNAC), USJ (2-13, 2-8 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the first quarter, the Blue Jays started off strong with a goal from Maya Tomko and an assist credited to Makenzie Dinger.

- Riv answered back in the second quarter with a rocket to the back of the net from Kayla Miles (Londonderry, NH).  

- Sydney Spenard (Manchester, NH) was able to power through with a Raiders goal three minutes into the third quarter.

- About five minutes before the contest ended, Mickailey Walsh (Berlin, NH) recorded a goal with a pass from Madison Bovill (Tyngsborough, MA).

- Olivia Boucher (Berlin, NH) had two saves for the Raiders, taking the win. Wendy Bowden had five saves for the Blue Jays this afternoon.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Penalty Corners: Rivier 13, USJ 2
