Field Hockey Stumbles to AMCATS

PAXTON, MA: Rivier field hockey falls to Anna Maria College in conference action late in the fourth quarter this evening in Paxton.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/19/22

- Score: Anna Maria 3, Rivier 2

- Records: Anna Maria (6-8, 5-4 GNAC), Rivier (6-8, 5-4 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  After a scoreless first half, the Raiders would get on the board first 49 seconds into the second half. Kayla Miles (Londonderry, NH) scored off a pass from Madison Bovill (Tyngsborough, MA) for her eighth goal of the season. Just a minute later, the AMCATS would knot it back up at 1-1 after Ashley Garcia scored her fourth goal of the season. The third quarter would end with Chloe Sicard (Salem, NH) putting Rivier back on top 2-1.

- The fourth quarter was all Anna Maria. They netted two goals that tied the game at two and a game-winner by Garcia. Eden Forget netted the tying goal at 49:19. Garcia would score the game-winner at 56:25.

- Olivia Boucher (Berlin, NH) was tagged with the loss after seeing four shots on goal, making one save. Hannah Tobey got the win (6-8) after making seven saves on nine shots on goal.
