Field Hockey Falls in Conference Action to Simmons

NASHUA, NH: Rivier women's field hockey lost to Simmons University in conference action on Joanne Merrill Field this morning.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/17/22

- Score: Simmons 4, Rivier 0

- Records: Rivier 1-4-0, Simmons 6-0-0

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- For the Sharks, Anna Tedeschi grabbed the first goal with a pass from Izzy Sciplini within the first ten minutes of the first quarter.

- In the second quarter Sharks' Sydney Gonyea launched the ball into the net, receiving the ball from Hannah Groves.

- It was a silent third quarter with no goals. Anna Tedeschi added her second goal of the day, assisted by Haley Dover. With three minutes left in the fourth quarter Riley Lambert moved the ball to Sydney Gonyea, who also recorded her second goal of the game for the Sharks.

- Kylie Coupal (Derry, NH) had 11 saves on the day. Emma Sheehan had three saves, to secure the win.
