Field Hockey Shuts Out Anna Maria 3-0

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier field hockey team picked up a huge win this evening in conference play against Anna Maria College by a score of 3-0 on Joanne Merrill Field.

 THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/13/2021

- Score: Rivier 3, Anna Maria 0

- Records: Rivier (4-6, 3-3 GNAC), Anna Maria (4-9, 2-5 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders got on the board quickly in the first quarter at 5:37 when Chloe Sicard (Salem, NH) netted her second goal of the season. Sicard wasn't done; however, she would tally her second goal of the game on a rebound just four minutes later.

-  Rivier would add one more to end the scoring for the evening in the third quarter. Abby Nadeau (Newbury, NH) would be the beneficiary of the score marking her first of the season.

- In net, Katie Olsen (Saugus, MA) continues to be a force with another shutout where she recorded three saves in 60 minutes.

-  Penalty Corners: Anna Maria 12, Rivier 7
